Ever heard of Vision AI? Well, Vision AI is Tesla’s response to Lidar and HD Maps. Those are Tesla’s competitors in that sector. It appears to be obvious that Vision AI works, but many legacy investors disagree, or are at least hesitant to accept it.
Tesla Insurance competes GEICO and Progressive. This business does a lot more good for Tesla customers than for themselves. But that never stopped them before. Tesla Insurance is a philanthropic mission.
The next software/hardware business Tesla has to offer is Robo-Taxi, with competitors including Uber and Lyft. In a matter of time, I'm not sure how much value companies like this will have. I'm expecting not much. Once Tesla gets approved as a level 5 driving product, customers will slowly but surely spread the good news about Tesla's bigger fleet, better prices, and much smoother…
