My conservative 2023 total production is 1.842M vehicles produced.
My moderate prediction is 1,998,840 vehicles produced.
My bull case prediction is 2,017,080 vehicles produced.
And my uber bull prediction is 2.93M vehicles produced.
The position I am most firmly behind is my moderate vehicle production case (1,998,840).
The old mainstream media predicts 1.8M. Even if Tesla beats expectations the old media will still bash Tesla for not attaining an arbitrary number like two million. Tesla just has to show continuous progress and stay on track. Since Tesla has done that I believe the company will be more than fine.
This is a short-term matter. It's like the volatility of a stock price. For example, my bull case of 2.01M will be attained by the end of Q1 2024 anyway. And even my uber bull case is going to be beaten by the end of Q3 2024. My point is basically that it isn't as much a matter of “will Tesla do x”, but a matter of “when will Tesla do x?”. Not if, but when.
